Lunch break just got a little more lively in Foley. The city’s popular Midday Melodies concert series is returning March 4th, bringing free live music back to Heritage Park during the spring season. The weekday concerts invite folks to grab a lawn chair, enjoy the fresh air, and soak up a little local talent right in the heart of downtown. enjoy the tunes
Weekend boaters, take note. The Alabama Legislature has passed a bill that would block random safety inspections of boats unless officers have probable cause or a specific reason to stop someone. Supporters say the change aligns marine patrols more closely with standard automobile traffic enforcement rules, while law enforcement groups have raised concerns about how it could impact safety efforts on the water. If signed by Gov. Kay Ivey, the new law would go into effect on June 1st. more boater freedom
Baldwin County has secured federal funding to install highly visible beach safety markers up and down the Fort Morgan Peninsula, placed at public access points and nearby streets, so beachgoers can quickly tell emergency dispatchers exactly where they are. The goal is simple: cut confusion and speed up response times in emergencies — especially important out there with miles of coastline and no full-time lifeguards. better beach safety

SNOWBIRD EXODOUS
The snowbird flocks have taken flight and are headed back home, although you might see a handful of stragglers hanging around hoping to squeeze in an extra week or so of fun in the sun before the spring breakers start hitting the sands.
I’ve totaled up the results of our snowbird survey and the top 5 states were (drumroll please) — Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio.
