Looks like Foley is getting a little recognition beyond our backyard. The city just landed a spot on WorldAtlas’s list of the 10 Best Places to Live in Alabama for 2026, thanks to its mix of coastal proximity, everyday convenience, and relatively affordable housing compared to nearby beach towns. A classic story with a coastal twist is hitting the stage this week. South Baldwin Community Theatre is bringing Anne of Green Gables to life from April 17th–26th, following the imaginative and outspoken Anne Shirley as she finds her place, and a few kindred spirits along the way.
